In the attendance of Dr. Dina Shebib, Jordan transport minister and Mr. Hady ElAmry, Iraqi transport minister, Dr. Ibrahim ElDemeery, Egypt transport minister has headed the 57th general assembly of ElGesr ElAraby company for navigation to discuss several important subjects first of which is the company’s budget plan for the year 2014 and the economic and regional impacts on the company during the last phase which had its effect on the company’s performance standards.

The minister has also declared that the company is one of the successful examples of joint Arab cooperation, where it was founded in 1985 between the governments of Jordan, Iraq  and Egypt to provide maritime transport services whether for passengers or cargo. The company in the meantime owns 7 vessels for transporting passengers and shipments and its average age is nine years which makes of it the owner of most recent maritime fleet in the region.  Dr. ElDemeery has also added that the company has been able, through its provision of distinguished maritime transport services and successful operation, to achieve profits which consequently have led to the increase of the company’s capital to reach 100million dollar in the year 2013 after being 6million dollar in the year 1985. Amongst the company’s new plans is the developing of services it provides with, raising the efficiency of the fleet and supporting the maritime units.
