MTS head at “MARLOG”: “MTS considered one of economy pillars.

Admiral/ Reda Ismail, head of maritime transport sector, has assured that, as transport minister mentioned before, political leadership gives great concern to maritime transport sector being one of economy pillars and one of development trailers, and added, during his word on behalf of transport minister, that Egypt is keen to raise the ports standards and providing them with modern technicalities to facilitate commodities transport   by sea to and from Egypt, as this has its positive effect on flow and volume of trade.

 He also added that maritime transport sector ”MTS” in Egypt has its great importance  due to its long coasts  on both the Mediterranean and Red seas,: pointing out that transport ministry  targets’ increase of such sector efficiency  economically  and technically within the framework of permanent development goals.   


 Dr. Ismail Abd ElGhaffar, head of AAST and of conference said that this conference is considered one of the unique occasions; gathering decision- makers to exchange opinions, experiences and expectations; helping in responding and interacting with variables and renewables; allowing for good planning for such industry in the Middle East, declaring that the academy is keen to make the conference presentable for MTS and the Arab region as a whole.  


 Abd ElGhaffar has also added that the academy is keen to hold such international conference; aiming at attracting specialists and those concerned with all permanent development aspects of maritime ports and environment management.


The academy has also signed a cooperation agreement with “Eco SLS” at Holland African Arab environmental center undergoes all the works of training, consultations, education and issuing Beres accredited environment  certificate, which is a maritime ports ‘special certificate and signed by  Mr. Herman Joseph, head of board of directors of ECO SLC corporation – Holland.

   The inauguration has also witnessed signing of a cooperation memorandum with the Tunisian company. The conference inauguration session was followed by the inauguration of an international annual fair for equipment and maritime services for local and international companies working in the field of ports’ services, information technology and maritime transport.
