Suez canal records a new score during a week by the crossing of 293 vessel

  Vice admiral/ Mohab Mameesh, head of Suez canal authority and of Canal General Economic authority said that navigation traffic at the Canal has witnessed last week passage of 293 vessel with tonnages 2million, 700 thousand ton amongst which 178 vessel from the north with tonnages 11 million, 500 thousand ton; 115 vessel from the south (the New canal) of tonnages 11 million, 200 thousand ton.

 He pointed out that navigational channel at the Canal has witnessed for the first time the passage of 9 giant vessel of tonnages more than 15 thousand ton, which assures the authority’s right vision in all its projects to develop work at the Canal to cope with international variables in the field of maritime transport, so that the Canal will remain the first choice for international navigational lines and a main vein for international trade traffic.

 Issued reports from the authority  has revealed that the Canal navigation channel has witnessed crossing of vessels last week as follows:47 vessel Saturday, of tonnages 2 million, 900 thousand ton, Sunday passage of 48 vessels of both directions of tonnages 3million ton, Monday 29 vessels passed the Canal of tonnages 2million, 300 thousand ton, Tuesday 48 vessel of tonnages 3 million, 400 thousand ton from both directions, Wednesday 53 vessel with tonnages 3 million, 40 thousand ton, Thursday 46 vessels of tonnages 2.6 million ton and finally Friday 76 vessels have crossed the Canal of tonnage 5 million ton, 100 thousand ton, hence making a total of 293 vessels with tonnages 22.7 million ton only within seven days.
