Dubai ports participates in Suez Canal projects

  President Sisi has assured that the government will provide required support to start implementing new projects in Suez Canal corridor region as soon as possible.

 Sisi consented during his meeting with head of board of directors of international Dubai ports and Mohab  Mameesh, head of Suez canal authority to establish a joint development company between the authority and the group so that the latter will implement several projects in the Canal region.


  Presidency Official spokesman ambassador, Alaa Youssef in a statement said that Ben Seleem, head of board of directors of International Dubai Ports group has reviewed during the meeting the groups activity in Egypt, where it manages Sukhna port amongst 78 land and maritime port that it manages in 40country around the world.  Where he assured the company’s keenness to implement a comprehensive investment plan in Egypt that includes a number of projects which participate in achieving permanent development  

 He also added that Ben Seleem, has expressed that the group is looking forward to reinforce its activity in Egypt and increase its investments in the economic region through establishing a comprehensive industrial, commercial and logistic region including all services, entertainment and residential sites.

 On the other hand, Dr. Mostafa Madpuly, housing minister has announced that president Sisi has issued a presidential decree number378 for the year 2017 for the establishment of “New Mansoura” city  to be affiliated to new urban communities  assuring that the ministry will work to implement the plan specified to the city and develop it, and within few days  implementation will commence, also the president has issued a presidential decree number 390 for the year 2017  for reallocating  an area of 6099.6 Feddan of the state’s land  to be used in urbanization expansion of 15 May city.
